Well, they pretty much are HERE! With Christmas trees already in stores, it's time to start thinking about what you and your pups are going to eat during the holidays!

If your are like me and my Mommy, we are both on a diet! And the holidays are the WORST time to be on a diet with all the temptations of yummy foods around you. I know that with self discipline and a good support group we can get through the holidays without gaining 10 pounds! blue dog

My tip for the holidays is to eat on a small plate. That way it looks like you are getting WAY more food, when you really aren't! Stay away from the gravy, and fill up on green beans and skinless turkey. Skip the chocolate pie and have a sliver of pumpkin pie with no whipped cream. Instead of having a handful of chocolates, why not crack open some chestnuts instead?

Also it's important to remember NO HUMAN FOOD FOR THE FURBABIES! If your dog isn't used to eating the skin off the turkey all the time, you are in for one fun night of the splarts! Make sure to keep ALL CANDIES AND FOOD off the floor and out of doggie reach! If you have company over who you KNOW will slip food under the table, just kennel the pups til the festivities are over.

Feel free to share any tips you can add! and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
