I had MAJOR abcesses last year that required pretty extensive surgery (and wearing a mesh shirt and closed suction pump for a month!) and I'm wondering if any other Elkies have had this? At first they thought it could be cancer but after an MRI and some other tests, they determined it to be abcesses and a "Super Bug" that was running rampant. After some antibiotics and scooping out all the bad stuff from my sweet Elkie body, I'm as good as new, but I am wondering if any other Elkies have experienced this?

Welcome to the group.

Cysts are very common to Elkhounds. Was this an infected cyst?
