This seems to be getting a lot of press lately. Maybe just around here because one of the researchers works at the vet college in my city.

I've never actually hear of EIC before, though I've never really owned the breeds that were listed in the article, so I don't have much experience. It's great that they've actually found the gene responsible for it though. And only $65 to determine whether the dog carries the gene? I think that's a very reasonable price for a dog's health, or the puppies from the dog's health.
