No one has posted anything since JerryLee left us except Dually and that was ABOUT JerryLee.

He wouldn't want his legacy to be our shutting down. Doesn't anyone have a critter story?

Me, I embarrassed myself last night by running into the sliding glass door and creaming myself - in pursuit of course. My mom spilled her Crystal Lite jumping up to see if I was injured! shock

Nothing wildlife related.

It was mom's 40th birthday, so her closest friends showed up and threw her a suprise birthday party. They had a cake fight, so Saf & I got LOTS of leftovers.

Mom said that suprise birthday parties should NEVER be held at the persons house. That's just cruel. Started her 40's cleaning the house.

Pretty quiet in my neck of the woods. No squirrels, no rabbits. B-O-R-I-N-G
The only thing hopping around here was a long haired un-neutered chihuahua who kept wanting to smell my butt. How annoying! MEN!

Doesn't he know how close he was to a butt-kicking?

I mean really!! He's the size of a bunny.

We all know what you do with bunnies.

I chased a goose and a bird in the park this past weekend. Mom wouldn't let me really go after them.

I"m sorry to say I haven't been on Dogster for awhile, and tonight I check in and find out my pal Jerry Lee is gone. Mom and I are so sad. He was a great hunter and FAST DAWG member.
Not many critters around here to report. i'm still really interested in the ground hog that lives under my house. I've gone as far as sticking my nose in the hole he lives in, but that's as close as I can get.
I"m VERY embarassed to admit that I actually had some critters scare me. We have a brook that runs through the middle of the street Mom and I walk on. This summer during my evening walks I heard weird croaking sounds from the brook that freaked me out. Mom laughed at me, and said they were just bulfrogs. How was I supposed to know? I'm a city dog, and ***sigh*** have never caught a critter!red face

wave Howdy there fellow critter chasers wave

Boy, it's been a busy summer...hopefully we'll be on Dogster more often now that hay season is over and mom's done with her horse shows...well just one more in October.

But, we had a great summer. There was lots of Sage Rat chasing from about March to June...then when the weather gets hot they start hibernating.

My best catch was the one that was outside our shop door. I came around the corner of the house and there he was just enjoying the sunshine...I had him in my teeth so quick he didn't know what got him BOL!!! I shook him a few times real good and it was a done deal...mom wished she had a camera on her. I was pretty proud of that one.

Another fun one was when Mom caught a pack rat in the chicken coop in the live trap; then she dumped it onto the yard for us pups to play with. Abby & Cowboy tried their hardest, but I'm the quickest and had to show them how it was done!!!

There was a couple of badger run ins too...nasty, nasty animals. Mom scoops me up every time we see one...I don't know why??? I'm sure I could beat the snot out of it...well maybe...but, mom says it'll eat me for a snack. Mom shot two of them so far.

Well, that's it from our neck of the woods. Hope you all are having a great summer. I'm kinda looking forward to fall...except for the Halloween costume thing confused Maybe we'll get lucky and she'll forget about it.

Happy chasin' hamster dance

Hi ya Dually...I remember the story...I'll be careful. They dig in our alfalfa fields after the Sage Rats. Mom carries a gun on the quad when we change irrigation. They usually are more nocturnal...but not always.

Thanks for caring big guy!! way to go
