Just had yorkie/bichon litter, have a few ???'s

Chloe just had a liter of yorkie/bichon puppies. I am wondering what they are going to look like as they get bigger. Two are black with white toes and tummies and two are brown with white oes and tummies, but have almost blck faces. Does the color change a lot from newborn colors? Also, are yours' tails docked or long? What is more common? Thanks for the help!

How cute, I'd love to see pictures! We got Lulu when she was a little over 4 months so I'm not sure what she looked like as a tiny baby. I can tell you that her fur changed for several months after we got her. Her ears were black as was the top of her head and a little further down her legs. Gradually it lightened up but she doesn't look too different. A lot of the yorkie bichons I've seen pictures of seen to be a lot more white/grey than she is.

Also her tail isn't docked. I don't know if anyone does that with mixed breeds, but I thinks its cruel and unnecessary.

i have a yorkie and i bichon. i have had yorkies for 20 yrs now and got my first bichon 2 yrs ago cause i am very asmatic. i hate to admit it, but my bichon is more my "style". The yorkie wants to play ball 24/7 and my bichon is very calm is just happy to cuddle with me after i come home from work after 11 hrs. My next dog will be a mixed breed. I do think "docking" their tails and cropping their ears is mean. My dog Abby gave birth to her only "child" Peanut, the yorkie. I never had his tail cropped or his ears plucked up and he is gorgeous. Can you please tell me, how is your dogs hair? The only complaint I have with my Bichon is that if his hair gets too long it naps up and is so hard to get the tangles out. So is your dogs hair more like a Bichons or a Yorkies? Thanks Donna
