I feel like there may be something toxic in my yard that Mokie is getting into, but I am not sure what all the plants are in the backyard. I have tried to monitor her when she is out there and can't see that she is getting into anything, and Monte hasn't been sick, so I am at a loss.
We've lived in this house for three years now, and there have never been problems in the past. We have not done any new planting in the back yard since moving in. If anything, we have removed plants from the back yard.
I wonder if there is someone I can hire or some way to find out exactly what plants, if any, in my backyard may be toxic to my pets. I'd obviously like to remove any plants which may cause a danger, I just don't know how to identify them.

That's a lot more likely than a new plant suddenly appearing on its own in your lovely yard, though squirrels have been known to do a bit of accidental gardening.

Your mum's seen my lawn! Surely she can't think it's lovely after the wear and tear the pooches put it through!
I agree with you on the "lawn treatments" so popular in my neighborhood. I was just out walking the dogs today and saw the chem-lawn guys had visited our neighborhood since yesterday's walk. Yellow signs abound, warning people and dogs to stay off the lawns. On these days, I walk in the road when possible (when traffic allows). Since the sidewalks are bordered on either side with grass, I must assume that they too get "treated."

She thinks your backyard is lovely, cause it gives you and Monte a place to run around and play. And it's bigger than the dogyard at Uncle Haakon's, that Sadie, Tess, and I play in. Fortunately, nobody treats that lawn!! It's out in the country and no neighbors being prissy about manicured lawns here.
