I have to confess the thought never occured to me to share this in here .... so thank you ... and thank you for the loving and kind words you have sent to this wonderful family ...
As you all know the family funeral was held yesterday, we lit a candle at the time it started in honour of this wonderful and kind man. He spent his whole life devoted to helping others and in loving his beautiful wife and boys, we know he will be truly missed by all x
We thought we would share what we posted in another group where we have a memorial thread going, please feel free to post your messages here to this fantastic family and let them know they are loved xx

We wanted you to know that we lit our candle and said our prayers in honour of a wonderful man that devoted his life to helping others and loving you ... Looby even said I know he is in heaven mummy cause that is where all good people go ... he has wings now and when Becky is sleeping he will fly back to earth and kiss her on the cheek and each kiss will help heal her heart x I was amazed that a 7 year old could come out with such wise words ... which is why I share this with you now x
AFterwards we were looking through a poem book we have here and when I read one out Jordan said oh that is what Shawn is saying to Becky ... I hope you dont mind but I thought I would share this with you now x

I know how much you love me,

I thought of all the yesterdays
The good ones and the bad,
I thought of all the love we shared,
and all the fun we had
If I could re-live yesterday
Just even for a while,
I'd say good-bye and kiss you
And maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized,
That this could never be,
For emptiness and memories,
would take the place of me.
And when I thought of worldly things,
I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did,
My heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through heaven's gates,
I felt so much at home
When God looked down and smiled at me,
From His great golden throne.
He said, "This is eternity,
And all I've promised you."
Today your life on earth is past,
But here life starts anew
I promise no tomorrow,
But today will always last,
And since each day's the same way
There's no longing for the past.
You have been so faithful,
So trusting and so true.
Though there were times
You did some things
You knew you shouldn't do.
But you have been forgiven
And now at last you're free.
So won't you come and take my hand
And share my life with me?
