	Welcome to the Scrapbook Challenge! Each week a different challenge will be posted HERE in THE FIRST POST OF THE THREAD, so remember to come here to look for the challenge. Each layout will be judged based on the BEST USE of the challenge that I assign each week....you must still include the required items that are given in the challenge. Remember, your fur must be in the scrap to qualify! There will be a 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winner. And they will receive the following: 1st place: The layout will be used as the background for Simple Scraps until another winner is chosen the following week & A DIAMOND! 2nd place: Blue Ribbon 3rd place: Available rosette Coffee Spit Award: Available Rosette The Challenges will be posted every Sunday morning, after the winner's from the previous week have been announced. Challenges to be submitted by each SATURDAY at MIDNIGHT Dogster Time. ***ALL FURS MUST SUBMIT THEIR OWN LAYOUTS INTO THEIR CHALLENGE PAGES. I'm BAAAAACK! I had a BLAST on my retreat! Boy did I need that! I've missed you all!! A little birdie told me that Shula's Mama is going to be having a little bundle of joy REALLY SOON! She has asked us to make scrapbook pages (quickpages) for her since she won't be able to scrap for a while...(so she needs 18 years worth...BOL!) I think it is a great idea! So lets all make baby pages (with a boy theme....) for little Myles! That is your new challenge for this week! Make as many as you want to...post them in the challenge thread (make the original 12x12 and 300ppi....zip it up and send to me at scraps4dogsncats@aol.com and I will get the full version to her)! 	Pawnee...beautiful page!! I love how the picture is snapped in two!! Very creative! I love all your pages! I'm not sure I'll have time to submit a page this week with the holiday and all...huge family cook-out at our house...have lots to do to get ready for it!

	Millie... HUGE FAMILY COOK-OUT oooh dear, those scraps coming your way !!!! Thanks pets, I actually had to go to the dictionary to check on "snap" I'm learning so much here Junior I guess it has to be adapted to your software but in Photoshop that's the way I did it: deep breath, I'm no teacher The rip/tear effect First I joined on one layer the photograph and its frame. Then I drew a broken line where I wanted to rip it and kept drawing loosely around the left part of the graphic (could have done as well on the right part, I just felt better doing it on the left). That way I had a part of my graphic selected with a broken line passing it. I used the "edit>transform>rotate" tool and moved this part away from the rest with a rotating movment. I then pushed it back together on the lower part since I only wanted a partial tear.... Done !!!! On with your thinking caps I want to see what you come up with pets !!!! I know you'll all have a big festive week end but studies are serious... Have to do your homework !!!! Have a great 4th of July !

	I learned two very interesting things so far -- First, there are a lot of foreign (at least French) sources for digi-scrapping, as Pawnee's references show. That is so cool!! (Thanks for the tips on tearing, Pawnee, we'll give it a try!) Second, Zoe likes to read dictionaries . Hugs, the Fluffkinses
