	Hi Pups: its been really hot early this year, & since we moved theres no air cond. in this new place. my sister lays in her pool a lot, butt i dont like to get wet. Dad keeps the fans on & that feels good butt dad worries that i get too hot. he brushes me almost every day & he gets lotsa hair off me but he doesnt want to shave me (i really love my coat) is there anything else he can do??? 	Have your Dad put ice-cubes in your water bowl. Also, have him give them to you to chew up. It'll cool you from the inside out! It's worth a try. Good Luck!

	ahhh, I just love to lay up on my momma's bed and sit under the fan. Nice way to stay cool, then roll over on my back so my belly can cool off too. ahhh, what a life!

	I won't shave Sid V either. It's not really the best option because their double coat insulates them from the heat and the cold. I don't have a/c either and it's been really hot. It was 105 the other day. Sid usually stays in the house, laying in front of the fan. I'm lucky because Sid actually likes the water and has a kiddie pool. I AM thinking of getting him one of those cool doggie water bed thingies.. It's supposed to stay cold and is like a pad you lay on the floor. Have you heard of them?

	Hi Grizzley-Ralph, last year my mom shaved me (a lion cut--I was pretty cute) but this year she didn't--she just brushed and brushed me (and I hate that). Our coat is supposed to insulate us. I haven't had any problems so far. I don't like to get wet either. My creepy little sister doesn't mind--she actually let another dog chase her into the river and she got soaking wet and then she kept going back for more. She's not very bright. Wellie

	thats funny, Wellington--Abby will sit in her wading pool till she gets bored, or a bird goes by Sid, i've soon those cool-bed things butt dad hasent stopped to look at them 'cos when we're at Olson's, i try to get him right to the counter-where the nice lady gives me chicken jerkeys dad was letting me play with ice cubes & it helped a bunch.

	My Momma won't let me play with ice cubes. She does let me eat Frosty Paws. I love them. I'm lovin' the weather right now, it's starting to get cooler. NOW I go outside and lay around in the sun. The long hot summer has come to an end and being as a California Chow, I know the summers here aren't nearly has hot an humid as the ones you guys have to be in but it did get pretty hot. phrew. So.. the roles are now reversed. I'm loving the weather and my Momma is putting on extra layers of clothes to stay warm! LOL.. Sid V.
