I worked hard to get my CGC and now that I've accomplished that mom doesn't know where to go from here. Therapy dog was suggested but mom has been a nurse for a long time and it just doesn't interest her to go to hospitals or nursing homes. Does anyone have any ideas they can throw our way? big grin

What do you like to do? There are all kinds of dog sports. Obedience and Rally Obedience are competitions where you can show off your skills. Agility is a sport where dogs and handlers work together to navigate an obsticle course. Flyball is a sport for the high energy pup that loves to run, play with other dogs (well, sort of), and play with balls. There are also disc dogs, splash/dock dogs, field trials, there are all kinds of sports you can do/train.
If you enjoyed training for CGC/CGN and that is the speed you are looking to continue with, you may want to look into Obedience or Rally-O because they would be more of a continuation of your training so far.
Of course these are very brief descriptions. I don't know much about obedience- we were just starting to check it out ourselves today. My girls like to let loose and have fun- our sport is flyball. If you want to know more about flyball, pmail me.
Have fun, happy training.
