Hi I'm Kramer I suffer from sever skin allergies and although I'm not blind yet I definitely have vision problems..I tend to favor one side and i can't tell what some objects are...Mom says I have no depth perception..

I also seems to be going deaf from constant ear infections and Mom isn't sure if my nose is working

do you have any suggestions for my mom

hi kramer...sorry you have so many medical issues. that must be very difficult at times. you are lucky to have a family who cares so much about you. i jsut posted in the thread, adjusting, and i think some of those comments may be helpful.

Maybe you can go to the vet for some prednisone for your ears and skin and transition your food to something with less common dog allergens

Thanks everypup...for the support..

the vet has me on atopica which is working wonders on my skin and fur, but it doesn't help my ears or eyes...We are pretty sure it isn't food allergies cause I was put on a special diet for 3 months and that didn't help at all, so we are pretty sure its environmental..

Mom thinks my eyes are bad cause i have had the condition for so long, but it could also be an age thing..she just doesn't know and the vet isn't really sure either...

I was on prednisone for a while to help my ears, but the vet said that long term use would cause other problems, I do get an occasional bath with mom' aveeno oatmeal stuff that really helps when the weather is really dry..I also have a steroid spray for fall when the symptoms seem to be worse..

Other then that the vet says there isn't much else we can do unless we want to spent thousands of dollars for allergy testing to determine exactly what I'm allergic too.

Mom is just hoping that my eyesight doesn't get worse.
