I am not handling the heat well as the temperature in DC starts hitting the 70's and 80's. Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone do any special grooming? If so do you have pictures. People have mentioned the lion cut, does that look silly?

My groomer thins my aussies coat for warm weather. I have seen shaved aussies but I wouldn't do that to mine. I have purchased a small, hard plastic kiddie pool though and they love laying in that after a walk or on really hot days. Otherwise you will find them laying on the air conditioning vent in the cool house!

I've n that go and go all day in the sun. Doesn't mean they like it, but I think they can be pretty hardy. I used to shave my corgis belly so she could cool down faster in the shade. She would put her feet straight out behind her to get maximum contact with the cool dirt. She came to love having her tummy bare (like when they are puppies) and it didn't detract from her appearance at all. If Zuby gets too hot, I'll probably do the same for him.

a kiddie pool is a great idea! Zuby wants one!
