I believe that when someone adopts a dog from any animal shelter they are making not only their dreams of having a dog come true,but they are making the dog`s dream come true by giving them a home. I should know about rescue since I was a rescue in many ways. I just want to tell everyone out there...to please go out and adopt a dog or cat from the pound even if they are not your ideal pet,they are just as good as any purebred dogs. I might be full blooded staffordshire bull terrier,but it doesn`t make me any better than the dogs who are at the animal shelters across the country just waiting for the right person to adopt them. If you read my story you would have seen what kind of start I had as a young puppy and how I survived being a victim of animal abuse. I was one of the lucky ones,but there are so many out there that are not so lucky. I met the one person who took me in and took care of me when I was very sick. I didn`t mean to go on and on about something,but I just wanted to write about adoption and how great it is to find someone who will love you despite your faults and stand by you when someone puts you down. That is my mommy and nana.
