Maggie RE- CGC
I's a beaver! |
| Barked: Thu Apr 10, '08 10:37pm PST | | | | | | What?
Raw, of the prey model sort. Could be anything meaty and cheap. I spend less than your normal kibble feeder (less than a dollar/day).
Why?
Because I guess it makes sense to me. Dogs=carnivore, carnivore=meat, dogs≠cooking meat, therefore dogs eat raw meat. But also the fact that Mags is healthier than she has ever been.

Liwanu "Mack"
Must find the- wabbit!! |
| Barked: Tue Apr 15, '08 12:36pm PST | | | | | | Kibble: Orijen for Mack, Orijen mixed with Eagle Pack for Tonks
Canned: None currently
Raw: raw prey model when I can fit it in the freezer and afford it.
Why?: Mack got me started on the search for grain-free. He was so itchy on the cheap foods that he was eating his own legs/feet. I mean that quite literally too. So I started looking. Then I got tired of looking and switched to RPM and after running out of freezer space/money I found Orijen. I'm very happy with it although I hope to return to raw one day.
Tonks gets Orijen mixed with Eagle Pack because straight Orijen gives her very runny stool. For her safety (hydration wise) I added in Eagle Pack and her stool has improved. She is very picky about what she'll eat so I'm content with the mix as long as she'll eat it.

Jordan
Give me the- ball! ( Or- else....) |
| Barked: Wed Apr 30, '08 6:56pm PST | | | | | | Definetly NOT Iams, Purina, Old Roy or any other junky, full - of - chemicals, grain - and -byproducts foods. Jordan gets a variety of food a.k.a. brands. Currently, we are weaning him off Origen Puppy Formula on to Fromm Surf and Turf. When we fist got him, we started feeding him Origen Large Breed Puppy Formula, but the breeders had fed him Iams - yuck! I think the breeders just didn't now and plus their vet had recommened it. I was shocked about that part. Also, Jordan gets to have lots of all natural bones and rawhides. (Don't worry, the bones won't splinter because of the way the are cooked - we asked the pet store owner.) Additionally, he eats frozen banana, hot dogs, carrots, and celery. We always subsitute some of his food with an extra source of protein and I think that pretty soon we will start adding some wet foods and raw foods into his diet! All I have to say is go healthy dog food! | | | | |
