I love chicken liver but mom found this site on foods you should not feed your dog and it says that too much liver is not good, is that right? How much is too much?

http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?cls=2&cat=1661&art icleid=1030

Dogster puts a space between the "t" and the "i" in articleid so pawlease take out the space to get to the site.

Foods you should not feed

Thank you for that link. I have heard about too much liver causing Vitamin A toxicity.

My favorite food is raw chicken. happy dance

Here is another link for toxic foods for dogs. If you click on each item, it will tell you why each food is bad

http://www.hcfrgroup.com/toxic-foods.html

I love chicken, cooked or dry jerky, and the meatball that mommy makes for me.

Chocolate covered espresso beans...I always try to sneak one when mom eats them.

But as for my regular food - Venison or pork of any sort (organ, RMB, or just plain meaty meat...so tasty!)

As for the liver - in large amounts it is bad...but raw feeders generally feed 10-15% of the diet in organ & of that percentage half of it is liver. Normally a dog's body will be able to tell you when too much organ is given (in other words you will know when your pup has splarts & seriously runny poo). Also - if your pup is already taking a Vitamin A supplement you shouldn't give liver...or you should quit the supplement and just give liver!
