East Branch Preserve Dog Training area is located on the east side of Swift Rd (directly across the street from Belden Ave), about a mile north of North Ave and about 2 miles south of Army Trail Rd.

The park is VERY large, but it is not a totally fenced in area, as the area opening to the parking lot and Swift Rd is not gated. Though off leash is allowed, this is NOT a comfortable off leash park for a dog that does not have a really reliable "come" or "stay".

There are at least three ponds that a dog could wade in. Both water and air were too cold for my dog to go in deeper than his haunches. The water did not seem really stagnant, though that may change when the sun and heat come in summer. The only facilities for garbage and dog poop bags we saw are right at the entrance to the park.

A final note, we saw coyotes and apparently they are a regular part of the East Branch experience. I would be very careful with very small or old dogs there, especially if there aren't many other people and dogs to convoy with.
