Blackwell is fully fenced. The Dog Park part of the preserve is on the south side of Mack Road 0.25 mile east of Route 59, about 2 miles west of Winfield Rd, in Warrenville. (Note the part of the park on the north side of Mack is a "leash only" area) Mostly open, many smaller trees, some but not a lot of shade. No open water, but some mudholes after a heavy rain. A few picnic tables at front of park. This is my go-to park, very near my friends' Bella and Bear's house. Overall, this is the smallest of the dog parks I've been to in Dupage, but still plenty large. I would estimate park dimensions as about 300 yards deep by 150 yards wide so it is still a good healthy walk. Be crazy and walk it clockwise one time, counter clockwise another!

West side of the dog area fence runs about 200 feet from Dupage River, can't see it much in the summer. One main trail with a shortcut through the middle.

The park has a porta potty type bathroom and garbage cans and disposable, biodegradable dog poop bags available at the entrance.

We saw someone get a ticket for using the park without a permit, make sure you have it with you!
