	Take a look at the colors section of the breed standard to discover the dizzying array of colors and patterns found in the Maine Coon. Maine Coon Cat colors Color descriptions as they are specified and approved (by the Maine Coon breed council and ratified by the Cat Fanciers' Association Board of Directors) for May 1, 2007 to April 30, 2008 Maine coon standard. Solid Colors White: Pure glistening white. Nose leather and paw pads; pink. Black: Dense coal black, sound from roots tip to tip of fur. Free from any tinge of rust on tips or smoke undercoat. Nose leather. black. Paw pads; black or brown. Blue: One level tone from the nose to the tip of the tail. Sound to the roots. Nose leather and paw pads blue. Red: Deep, rich, clear, brilliant red; without shading, markings, or ticking. Lips and chin the same color as coat. Nose leather and paw pads; brick red. Cream: One level shade of buff cream, without markings. Sound to the roots. Nose leather and paw pads; pink.

	I'm a pure white. I had 2 stripes down my forehead when I was a kitten but they are going away as I age. My breeder said my mom was the same way. I have a big huge tail! Sometimes I drag it around and kind of shuffle which mom has termed one of my "silly walks". I'm a bit too smart for my own good too. I can open cupboards and cabinets and mom caught me trying to flush the toilet on several occasions. However, the chain was disconnected at the time so that's the way it's gonna stay so she says. :-( I'm very sensitive and a good friend to all who live with me. Mom had a preying mantis when I was a kitten. I used to gape at it alot. One day, after she laid her eggs, she started dying and I came unglued. I was trying to dig my way into her plastic box to help her. She was a friend. I felt the same way about the betta Finn when he was dying. I know he was old and I know I used to bug him alot but he was a friend too. I have a sister Patsy who is a brown-patched tabby Maine Coon. She's not exactly a very sturdy cat but she is enough to play with me. Willie is the sturdiest around here. She and I are good buddies.

	i am a black and white tuxie maine coon! my toe pads are pink and black like my nose ( what you can see of them between the fluffy tufts of fur!) my nose leather is mostly black with a tiny bit of pink showing ( a tuxie trait mum thinks) i am especially proud of my long plumy fluffy tail and i love to saunter around the house flipping it from side to side so it waves back and forth like a flag! my tail is so long it can go over my back and touch the back of my head just behind my ears! i am a very smart coonie. Mum has taught me to sit on command and i know exactly what drawer my toy mice are kept in! one thing mum has noticed is that im not much of a talker. she has heard many maine coons are very vocal but I am the strong silent type! though i get what i want across quite fine! 	I'm a red mackeral tabby with white. We are all such beautiful cats fur sure! Me and my sister are definitley the loud type but mommy read that MC's are supposed to be quiet and reserved. MOL not us!
