Berner Puppy Activity Level

	We are proud owners of an 8 week old berner puppy (Ellie) and curious to know how active we should expect our berner to be. She is very mellow, doesn't really care for puppy treats and likes to nap a lot. Is this common? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

	Hello, If your puppy is that young then it will be a little sleepy. Beware, as they get older they get more hyper. But, not as hyper as some breeds. My Berner is almost 3 now and she is really mellow in the summer and has a lot of energy when it is cold and there is snow on the ground.

	I just joined your group, and by now, Ellie is what, almost 4 months old and I bet her activity level has picked up. My Finn is almost 11mos old and he had his active periods and he has his naptime periods. Giant breed dogs are certainly not as active as a terrier or sporting breed, but just wait, they'll have their moments of crazy periods! Hope you're enjoying your Berner!
