I've been looking for a group where I can talk about reputable breeders! There are a bunch for shelters and rescue. (I'm not against shelters or rescue - quite the contrary - , but I also like to talk about breeders.)
If you are familiar with some of my posts, then you know where I stand on breeders. If not, then you will soon find out. I'm all for reputable breeders, all against BYBs and puppy mills, and I love to talk about the difference between them. My mistress aggrees with me and is studying to be a reputable Collie/Sheltie breeder someday.
Here's a little about us:
My mistress is 14. She LOVES dogs, so she wanted to breed them. Well, she was too young to actually be a breeder, so she did the next best thing: read about it. She learned some shocking things too. Like a breeder doesn't really do it for money and that you don't make much money when it's done right. Mistress has a STRONG love for Collies and Shelties and she wants to help improve the breed and keep it healthy. So she's studying so that she can do that. If it wasn't for her being so young, she would probably be a BYB or puppy mill right now. We're very thankful that she ended up studying first.
