When we learned that we were getting a puppy we started thinking of all sorts of names. When someone mentioned Daisy we thought it sounded like the perfect name for her. And it was. Daisy is a "Daisy".

Well, my Human Mommy has my fur Mommy and when I was born I was small and dainty like a flower.( the runt!) so my human Mommy named me Daisy after the small and dainty flower.

Well Im not sure how my Daisy got her name exactly. We brought her home and her name was Baby which I wasnt to fond of. Anyways we called her puppy for a while because I had no clue what to call her. She was so beautiful so it h ad to be perfect. Then my mom new I loved Daisys shes like how about name her Daisy. Shes pretty as a Daisy flower. So thats how it came about it took awhile though to find the perfect name for her.

We know nothing, not one thing about Daisy's previous life.
Name,age, breed..Nothing.
She lived with an elderly woman that didnt care for her very well.
The woman passed away and a very nice couple from her church took Daisy in and promised to find her a new home.
That home was MEbig grin
She looked SO scared, skinny and matted when we got her.
My granddaughter first wanted to call her Carly, but on the way home in the car she changed her mind and said "Daisy" after Daisy Duck and the name stuck.
It took Daisy about a month to realize her name is now Daisylaugh out loud
and we now call her Daisy Mae because Daisy & lucy sound too much alike and we are ALWAYS saying " LUCY...Dont Put That In Your Mouth!!"
And that my friends is how Daisy got her namesnoopy

When we adopted Daisy she was already 5 1/2 years old and the only word she understood was her name, Daisy, so we kept it. Daisy had been kept in a cage her entire life and was used as a breeder and was dumped into rescue when her owner didn't think that Daisy's puppies were "show" quality. Their loss was my gain because my Daisy is the most wonderful and loving furbaby that I've ever known.

Can you imagine what her life was like...she didn't know a single word -- not "bye bye", or "cookie", or "do you want to eat." She had never tasted "people food" or been allowed on a couch or a bed. Now Daisy is like a little Princess. She sleeps in my bed and has full use of all 5 couches in our home and she now knows lots of words and especially loves the word "cookie."

So when you think about it the name "Daisy" fits her perfectly because with a lot of love she just bloomed like a flower. I love my Daisy Dumplin'.

I came with my name - mom adopted me from the local SPCA & that was my given name from my previous home. Mom didn't want to change it, so I'll always be her little Daisy Mae....

Daisy got her name because when we first found her she was scared of everything, so we called her Pansy. But that just didn't sound very nice so we stuck with the flower theme and went with Daisy.

I always wanted a dog named Daisy. When my sweet girl came along I knew she would be the perfect one to honor the name. Her AKC name is: Daisy's Butterfly Kisses. She definitely gives sweet little butterfly kisses.
