 |  |  |  | Have your dog sit in front of you while you put on his training collar and leash. When he bites at the leash give a light tug on the leash and the no command at the same time, then distract him by putting favorite treat directly in front of him. He cannot bite the leash and look for his treat at same time. As soon as he releases the leash give him the treat and praise (very important). Use the same technique while you’re walking, giving treats as you walk. Do not give rewards for negative behavior, instead use correction with the collar and leash as stated above. Do not over correct your pup; you want to make walking on a leash a pleasure for both you and him. Your pup will get experienced with having his collar and leash on him and will start having other distractions as he sees the world when you walk him. |  |  |  |  |
