I went out x-mas shopping on Wednesday afternoon and evening. When i got home Worf had literally knocked over the kitchen garbage can and tore it apart. I walked in to see wrapping and you name it from the kitchen to the living room. And of course since this incident he has had the trots terribly. I called his vets and they tell me to with hold food for 24 hours (already doing that making sure he has plenty of fluids tho), then give him rice and chicken and some special type of beef broth. I asked about pepto, but of course they would not recommend it.

So i call a different vet and get a second opinion. And of course they say the same thing as Worf's vet said and to bring him in, but it was the receptionist i talked with saturday afternoon. They do not have vets in on the weekends, they are open for purchases.

But i do know of some members in other groups using pepto for their fur kids and i remembered it was listed on a reputable K9 site that pepto was ok to use. So i got a syringe and gave him 3/4 of a teaspoon of pepto, because the recommendation is 1 teaspoon per 20 pounds every 6 hours. I gave Worf another dose of pepto last night and he still has the trots.

This afternoon i gave him a 1/4 of an imodium and his diarrhea is still there and now he is vomiting foam with a little tinge of yellow bile. I am going to beg his vet to see him, and pray he lets me pay later. But i know he won't.

We have no organizations that will here. Even the SPCA will only contribute $20.00 to a bill. And you can only ask and use them once. Which i did last year. So please pray my boy is OK. I can't stand the thought of losing him now.
