Shar Pei Fever and Vaccinations

My dog struggles with shar pei fever. On our last trip to the vet to get rabies and bordatella vaccinations, my vet suggested that we stop vaccinating him.

Has anyone whose dog has shar pei fever stopped vaccinating? If you have continued to vaccinate, did the immune compromise of the vaccinations bring on a fever episode?

I stopped vaccinating my fur kids in 2005. I have an eight month old girl Zoey who has FSF and she will not be vaccinated ever if I can help it.
