Are any of you guys really hyper and scared of everything? I sure am . My human brother makes a noise or drops something and I run and start barking at him I don't know why. May be because he is nervous and wirey too . laugh out loudHope some other paps will get on and talk about something. It would be nice to get this group of nervous wirey paps like me to discuss stuff. thinkingSome groups are pretty slow and I sure would like a pap group to discuss stuff.cry

snoopy I have two Papillons (4 year old & a 5 month old). I remember when Gizmo was a puppy it seemed that he was scared of everything inanimate especially the sound of the plastic bag rustling. He would sit there and bark at it non stop. First time I gave him a pigs ear, he went around circling it and barking at it for a half hour. He'd get close to it then back off..repeating that pattern. Finally, he figured out what it was.

One time when Gizmo into Joann's when he was a puppy in a bag. This woman heard him and had to see him. Turned out she had 3 Papillons of her own. She said that Papillons are lil terrors until they get to the age of 3. Supposedly, thats when they start mellowing out. When Gizmo hit 3 that didn't happen but when he turned 4 I noticed that he had mellowed out.

Yoshi, my puppy has is on the beginning phase of the phase of the hyper side of his personality. He's not as scared of things as I remember being. I found this article on puppy psychology.

WOW That is so interesting to know this is the first Pap that we ever had. I bought Mimi for my son as he is into all the French stuff and checked out about them too. He is becoming a French teacher when he goes to college and I told him he better calm down so she does as he is as hyper as her haha!! It is really funny when I sneeze though because she runs out of the room. So afraid of me. sometimes I can't stop and she doesn't want to even come near me for a good while. She is such a trip Now BayLee is a Papi-Poo and nothing bothers her. I guess the poodle in her helps a lot. Paps are so funny. She is my son's but she stays with me and sleeps with me too. That's ok I keep her. She definitely is my baby. She sort of protects me from him too. When my son comes near she puts her ears back and just wags her butt and tries to keep kissing him and I have to tell her it is ok he isn't going to hurt no one. She is so funny. I really enjoy her and when she yaps outside at the birds too.
