** Liver Treats **

~ Use sliced liver from the grocery store (usually in the freezer section)
~ Cut up into desired treat sizes (sometimes it is easier to cut frozen, as it is quite slimy thawed)
~ Spread pieces on baking sheet and dry out in low temperature oven (if oven is left on quite a low temperature (175 or 200F) this will take quite a while, if it a bit higher (350F) it won't take as long)
~ Dry to desired dryness (completely dry will last longer)
~ Long tern storage in the refrigerator, short term in your pocket!

Bon appetite!

PS- mum says this is a bit of a stinky process, so its better to do on a day you can open the windows! BOL, we think it smells delicious!

Meaty Chewies

2 cups whole wheat flour
½ tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. parsley
2 tbsp. grated parmesan cheese
2 eggs
1 ½ cups fresh ground meat

Combine all ingredients. Make a dough and knead for about two minutes. Let dough rest for about 10 minutes. Roll out dough ON a greased cookie sheet, roll out as thin as you like (about 1/2" thick), then with a pizza cutter run through the spread dough and make little squares or big squares, I make mine about (2 x 2), depending on the size of your dog, or use a cookie cutter. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 45 minutes, then shut off the heat and let cool in the oven overnight, this way they will be good and crunchy. Store in an air tight container. Because of the meat contents these cookies must be used within a week...or you can package them into zip-lock bags and can be frozen.

Peanut Butter Doggie Treats

1 & half cups water
half cup olive oil
2 eggs
3 tablespoons peanut butter
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour
half cup cornmeal
half cup oats
preheat oven to 400 degrees
Blend wet ingredients toghether. Add dry ingredients to form a ball of dough. Roll out with a little flour & cut with bone-shape cookie cutter.
Put bones onto lightly greased baking sheet & bake 20 min
turn off oven & allow the bones to cool in oven till hard.
store in airtight container

These seem very similar to Kaley's Buddy's cookies listed before.

Now Mum's did not form a ball-so she dropped the dough onto the sheet & baked like human cookies

hehe! they look just like Da's-but Da tried a bite of my cookie & says they are bland.

I dont care what Da thinks-I love them & gobble them up!

Birthday Cake-Peanut Butter Carrot Cake For Dogs

1 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup shredded carrots
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup honey
1 egg

Mix flour & baking soda. Add remaing ingredients. Pour into greased 8" round cake pan & bake @ 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Let cool. Puree cottage cheese in blender for icing . Decorate with more peanut butter & carrots. Can't remember where found.

Mum did not bake in round cake but used 8" square pan instead.
Mum did not decorate with peanut butter just shredded carrots.
She added a plastic white "Happy Birthday" sign on top for the picture of the cake & then took it off before dogs can eat.

Mum made this cake for me & Mum's daugher's dog, Brody Boxer. We really liked the cake! Big cake so had more to share later-
