October 22 , 2000 — Corey Dillon rushes for 278 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries in Cincinnati's 31-21 victory over Denver to break Walter Payton's single-game rushing record. Dillon established the NFL rookie record (since broken) with a 246-yard outburst against Tennessee on Dec. 4, 1997.
