Sweaters for Winter

big grin I am the mother of a new baby chihuahua and he is just darling. But, he shivers all the time.frown It will start to get cold very soon and i am unable to find a sweater to keep him warm. i am using thick fleece socks to make him a sweater for now.

when i go to the store, nothing fits him. the employees suggest that i try fitting him with a ferret sweater but the only ones that any store carries is for a large ferret. My baby is only 9 weeks old and roughly 1 pound. he will not get any bigger than 4 lbs.

I was small when I was a puppy too and daddy and mommy had a hard time finding clothes small enough for me. They went to a mall and found a booth in the concourse that sold the cutest sweaters, and they were so warm too. I didn't like when mommy put the hood over my ears, but I tolerated it cause I know they were just trying to keep me warm. I am 1 year old now and weigh about 3.5 pounds and daddy and mommy are able to buy me small clothes in the supercenters. You might try Petsmart too, they have x-small clothes and you can go online and get them. Good luck, its no fun being cold.

Hi, I was tiny too! When my Mommy got me I only weighed 12 oz at 5 Months. Now I'm 1 Yr 4 mths and weight 2 lbs. 10 oz. She got me some things on ebay from some folks who made them by hand. Some of the crocheted or knitted items were great because they had no arms and I was so small that any arms at all just didn't work for me. Hope that helps! See you China Doll
