Hi, I'm Helen, owner of Vincent and Rosie. I'm here because I'm refusing to allow Vincent to become a rimadyl statistic. He's had arthritis for 5 years, and the past few months the pain has been increasing quite a bit. My energetic boy still likes to play fetch - but for 5 minutes. We still go to the park - but we have to drive him there.

The vet is pushing rimadyl, which I'm refusing. We have another appointment today to discuss meds, and requested a different vet. There are 4 in the practise - usually I'm happy with any of them, but the pill pushing is upsetting me.

Bonzi gave me some links to check out, as well as exploring the group here. Thank you so much!

For all the Bridge Dogs here - it's dogster pages like yours, dogster groups like this that made me aware of rimadyl's side effects. You may have saved my boy's life, thank you.

I am so sorry that I haven't responded to your email before this so much going I would need a week to explain. I read this email & wanted to know how your baby is doing? I am so glad that you are not going to give the rimadyl & that Bonzi helped with the decision. I hope that all is better & that your vet worked with in on this issue. If you have read Bonzi's page you know that his vet let us down. This week has been real hard because it's fall & the leaves are changing colors. We use to take Bonzi to the lake he loved to run & chase the leaves. This year we took the girls Paley, Maggie 7 Sybil but it wasn't the same. Please let me know how all is going & I am so sorry that it has taken me so long to answer.
