So what are some strange / funny things that your Goldens do???

Jack likes to put a squeaky toy in his mouth and squeaks it while tossing another toy (usually a ball) around with his feet. He acts like it's the most normal thing to do. dog sometimes I wonder if he's not part kitty

Eat... Drink...- & Be Hairy...

laugh out loud Cash does that too! He usually has his tennis ball in his mouth BUT when you throw another ball, instead of dropping the 1st one & going after the 2nd ball, he ends up playing soccer smile He's quite good at it too!

He also likes to sleep with the tennis ball stuffed in his mouth which looks pretty funny big grin

Mom thought I was an amazing pupper 'cause I can play soccer but looks like it's a golden thing! I have to have a toy in my mouth to play and would you believe it? I even taught my humans to play too! If they roll the ball to me with their foot, I'll roll it back to them. They're so smart. Who says you can't teach an old human new tricks? I have a pic on page 2 of my photos of me playing.

Winnie

Winnie chasing lizard after lizard. She picks them up in her mouth, carries them around the yard or in the house until she decides she is done with them and then lets them go. Everytime I watch her let them go, they run along completely unharmed by the whole thing. Tail and all! I think she wants to be a mom, she is always trying to carry things around in her mouth.

Hi Winnie! Goldens are bred to have what is called "soft mouth" so that they can carry birds without damage during hunting excursions. It seems to extend to anything they carry in their mouths, and Fuzzy even takes food from our hands without touching our skin with her teeth!

Her weirdest thing to do is that when we feed her, she picks up the pan full of food (usually dumping it all on the floor) and carries it outside where she lays down with the empty pan between her paws and licks it.

The strangest thing Ella does is...licking my guinea pig's face. Every time we go out and come back in, she ALWAYS goes to his cage, like she is happy to see him.dog
