we need to get responding and sharing. just moved here from florida and i have to say for a vacation state( ones i get to take every weekend) arkansas is for me. i have to say the past 100 degree heat was worse than fl. the river took care of that. we went to the saline river since that's what we live near. rivers in fl have alligators. when it cooled down alittle we went to lake catherine park and hiked had a ball can't wait to try out others. let's start conversing sharing and we can start meeting for hikes to.
i come from a large family so sometimes someone else barks in on conversations so if you get confused it's us not you.

Welcome to Arkansas, Elliot! I moved here three years ago from Tennessee and I love it. I live near the Saline River in Benton. I have spent some time on Lake Catherine, too. It is a beautiful place. I kayak there with my Dad. The last time I went I "accidentally" fell out of the kayak. They wouldn't stop to let me swim so I had to fall out! Anyway, there are alligators in some places in Arkansas, so watch where you swim.

Our pawrents have grown up in Little Rock--my fur sis was born in Louisiana and mom went to get her...but I was born in Des Arc and live in Little Rock now. My pawrents say I'm pretty much an Arkansas boy--because they love living in LR!! (they've both lived in Louisiana and Texas and have decided AR is the place for them!)
