	We didn't know Maximus and have no idea if he ever had a decent life or one of abuse and misery. But we can feel him in our hearts because animals and people who have suffered cruelty and abuse at the hands of another are brothers and sisters in their souls. Maximus...we would have loved and protected you if we had been there.
