Help! This is Rudy Mack checking in- shhh shh

Mom says now that I'm getting a little brother there will be two of us to groom so she has started buying grooming equipment to groom us herself. That might be good since she can't drive and daddy is always out of town so we don't get to the groomers as often as mom would like. (She says mobile services are too expensive.)

Mom has been looking on the Internet for electric clippers. She said something about Oster clippers. Does anyone have any advice for clippers or any other grooming equipment that mom should use? thinking

Checking out for now but waiting for you...

Lots o Licks,

Oh Rudy, my mom would never even consider trying to groom me herself, so we have no idea about any equipment! Check the dogster forums, though. There is a grooming forum!

Dude!

Sorry I am just now sending a reply, but my mom never realized this existed....HUMANS!

Mom says to take it easy on your mom when she tries to groom you, it's not always that easy. Mom groomed for a while and finally had to stop because she was coming across too many people who wanted the impossible for nothing and refused to participate with any home care.

She said to tell your mom that she MUCH prefers Andis over Oster trimmers. Her main complaint with Oster is that they were bulky, heavy and harder to handle. There are bunches of websites (Jeffers and PetAgree are a couple mom likes who are fairly inexpensive) to check for grooming equipment, as well as ebay, etc. If your mom plans to just shave you down you'll only need the clippers and a couple of blades. If she's wanting to go more for the breed cut she'll want to have shears as well.

Even though the initial cost can be expensive, in the long run it will be worth it since you will be able to groom at your convenience and you'll know exactly how your dog behaves/is treated throughout the grooming. Fortunately for mom, she knew well and even worked with the person who groomed my sister Sally before mom started grooming, so she knew how Sally was treated and never had to worry about her.

Good luck and mom said to tell you to feel free to pup-mail anytime you have any questions. She'll be glad to help all she can.

Woof!
