My mommy is thinking about getting another dog in the future, and was wondering about an English Cocker Spaniel... What is life like with an English Cocker? What are they like as a breed? How are they with other dogs? cats? How are they with general obedience training ( I am a terrier and my mommy can't let me off leash or i run away)? I would appreciate any info you can give me on English Cocker Spaniels!!!

English cockers are a great breed and are eager to learn if you take the time to teach them! No dog can go off-leash without the proper training and even those trained off leash could potentially leave your side, cause really, who's stopping them?? ECS require daily grooming and lots of excerise! theyre very affectionate and loving and demand attention.. i work with ecs everyday and had one of my own.. its hard to say if any dog will get along with another.. if a puppy is introduced to a home that already has a dog living there, well they won't know anything besides living with another dog so in most cases, yes, theyll get along.. the question is, how will your terrier react? hope that helped smile
