Hey everybody! My mommy is wondering if she should shave me down a little bit for the summer. She is thinking of maybe just doing my belly so when i lay in the pool it can cool me down faster. She says she doesn't want to shave me completly because my thick fur also protects me from the heat and sun. Does anyone else's parents shave them for the summer??? Whooo Whooo!!!

Right on the nose Koda, that thick fur is great insulation for us and does actually help us stay cooler ...and not get sunburned.

Foster Lady made the mistake of shaving my paws in the summer once. Oh it felt really good... while I was in the house or in the yard. Then we went for a walk. OUCH that pavement was hot!!! Now she knows... that extra long fur we have at our toes IS good for something. *rolling eyes* Silly human. I'm the first Husky she's had to live with for any amount of time. Ah well, she's learned quickly enough of the Husky ways.
