Carriers - need opinions!!

So I do not have a carrier. I walk everywhere and we've managed to get into cabs, on subways with no problems so far. But because of the horrible tragedy of 9/11, Mom does want me to have a carrier in case of emergency and also if I ever really needed it for a special reason.

this is the problem. I'm not your average sized min pin. I'm larger. I'm about 14 inches in length, 15 pounds, kind of taller - maybe 15 inches in height up to shoulder.

So is there a carrier you can suggest that will fit me? All of them seem so small. There is a carrier in brooklyn that customizes carriers to fit your pup but I can't remember the name - it starts with a C. any pup help!

sherpa makes bags in sizes that fit just about any toy, no matter the size. i remember a 20 lb silky terrier who was addicted to his sherpa bag, and i think that was a size lg or xlg. it was roomy enough for him to turn around in and all.

so i checked out the website for sherpa, and man do they have a vast assortment of products! the neatest one, i think, is a convertible backpack carrier. it only comes in size medium, to fit a dog of up to 16 lbs, but the classic tote comes in sizes for up to 22 lbs. they aslso have a great size chart too to help out with fitting. they're on the pricey side, but nice.

i also like my outward hound kangaroo pouch that i got for panchito, super comfortable and ridiculously adjustable. the size medium fit a 14 lb min pin pretty comfortably. it's open ended, so his head is out in the air, with a safety clasp for his harness. about $45 in a pet boutique, i think.

I have the same problem of being tall. Mommy tried to get me one at PetSmart and it was fine everywhere but I was too tall! She saw one at Target she thought might fit me but didn't want to buy it because you can't take dogs into Target and she didn't want to get it not knowing if it would be big enough.
