Does your shiba do those quirky things associated with the breed?? Does yours howl?? Does yours run the "sihba 500" also known as the zoomies?? Or anything else.

Sierra loves to run in the house either after a walk or when she gets bored.

The first time I heard the Shiba Howl, I called the vet.

No animal should make that kind of noise unless it has a ruptured spleen or something.

Mika & Tsuki both do the shiba 500 always after their walks and when they get board only Tsuki does the shiba yell.

The most typical shiba game I have seen is called "Dig a Hole and Guard It". Works best between two shibas, but a human will do at a pinch.

One shiba digs a small hole (on the beach, or more likely in your lawn), and sits or lies down guarding it. The two shibas then spend the whole afternoon trying to dislodge each other from the hole, by various means: skidding turns in front of the other dog, wrestling moves involving a shove with the hips etc. Lots of teeth and snapping and noise, but that's OK because we're shibas and not easily offended (it's how we communicate!)

Sushi spins like the Tasmanian Devil when we come home and also when we open up a new can of cat food. He's definitely quirky!

Does anyone elses shiba howl. Sierra hasn't always done it, but has been doing it a lot lately.

Oh ya, Emery does the zoomies. I just pick my feet up and let her go laugh out loud

As for the screaming, I've only heard when she gets hurt (infected anal glands), or that time she got her head stuck in the baby gate... laugh out loud If she would've stopped screaming and closed her mouth, she would have been able to pull her head out on her own.
