	Welcome to Helping Paws! This Dogster and Catster group was created to help loving and needy pets find homes where they can be spoiled rotten by people who love them. Let's use this thread to introduce ourselves. My name is Elisabeth Ann and I'm a four-year old Maine Coon mix. I was recued from a Walmart parkinglot when I was only a few weeks old. I love napping in front of the kitchen window and throwing myself in bags of catfood.

	Hi Elisabeth, this is a great idea. My name is Gray, when I was about 3 months old I found my way to my now humans house. They had 2 kitties already and I was crying for food and the mom left me some cat food outside cause she couldn't stand to watch me eating buttered toast she threw out for the birds. I was very scared and stayed away until one day I followed the bigger kitties into the house and the mom found me under the kitchen table in the morning, sleeping and waiting for food. I didn't want her to think she was adopting me, so I adopted her first. That was 4 yrs ago. I'm happy I'm here, and boy do I eat. I'm glad she was here otherwise I might have gotten run over by a big noisy machine on the highway, mom lives next to a highway. It's a good thing there are humans out there like her, hope we all can find happiness like I did. purrrrrsssssss Gray Oh, and Hoppy Easter to all!!! Edited by author Sun Apr 8, '07 7:37am PST

	Hi, my name is Puddie, like the cat and bird on tv! Sylvester Puddie-tat. Anyhow, I had a home for a long time, I think the people I lived with were mean to me, they did have my front claws removed and I don't remember but some time I lost the sight in one eye. One night in the summer while I was roaming around the block, they packed up and moved away and didn't take me with them. They didn't even look for me. So the man that owned the house called my second family and said, come and get this cat or he goes to the pound! Well my mom went nuts, hit dad and said, LET's GO! We have to save him. They had made friends with me on the street a while before. So I moved in after a lot of scary catching and growling, I did scare them well, they were trying to catch me with a very large box and I kept growling and hissing, dad finally just came up and grabbed me, he stuck me in the box and took me home where I stayed with them until I went to the rainbow bridge, I spent 13 yrs with them. I was happy Mom saved me.

	I'm Holly. My meowmie found me peeking out from behind a board under their garage one day. I was just a kitten with a cut off, infected toe and I had lots of fleas. She took me to the vet to treat my toe and gave me a bath. After that, I guess you can say I adopted them because I stayed and have been around eleven years. I was recently sick and all the wonderful friends here on Catster purred me to a complete recovery! I love this place.

	My name is sylvie. I found my home because one day two neighborhood human girls found me. I was just a kitten with alot of fleas and ear mites and filthy dirty. The two girls knew my meowmie had a thing for kitties and brought me to their house. My meowmie bathed me and put up signs looking for where my home might be. After not being able to find my home, she took me to the vet for shots and I have been here ever since. My meowmie says that I am one of the sweetest kitties that she has ever had. blush blush I like to pick on my big sister, Holly. But that is all in fun!!

	Meowlo effurybody!!! My name is Snowy and I am a black domestic cat (duh hee hee) and I was a stray until my meowmy and daddy took me in....well, actually I just moved in by myself and they let me! I am a very kind and friendly cat, I love giving kisses and lying on meowmy's lap (or on her if she's lying down). Purrrrr.....I hope to meet you all!!

	Hello everyone! I'm a tuxedo cat, almost 2 years old. I was born in a horse barn to a feral mother. The nice lady who owned the barn (and the horse!) found homes for me and my littermates. 	Hello! I'm Ducky's sister. We were from the same litter, and came to our forever home when we were 7 weeks old. I only weighed 13 oz.! Ducky was bigger, 19 oz. And would you believe, the silly humans thought I was a boy until my second vet visit!
