To fellow GSD owners with older dogs in the 11+ range like ours: what additives do you use and recommend?

I feed my guy Wellness Chicken Super5 mix dog food, Dr. Maggie's glucosamine liquid supplement, and a powder for hips/joints.

He still has his puppy-like energy when we're outside but stairs are tough for him, especially if he's just woken up. No hip problems, just general arthritis. Sad to see our buddy aging.

Suggestions? Love to hear what works out there.

Missing link is very good for joints and activity. Try giving that to your dog.

Hi Utah,

Have you heard of NuVet Plus tablets? It's a supplement for dogs and I know a couple of breeders who sware by it. The company also has a product called NuJoint Plus, which is recommended for older dogs. You can check it out at nuvet.com
