Back when I was about a year old I went hunting with two other dogs and five humans. We were hunting doves. My friend Scout would see the birds coming in should would stare at them and almost point at them. Scout and Hunter's humans were doing a good job at shooting the dove but my master wasnt do too well. I didn't want her to feel bad so I sneaked over to the stack of birds that Scout had brought in and picked up a couple and laided them by my human. BOY was my human surprised to see the birds!!!! snoopy

well, we have one sort of like yours..
at my very first AKC hunt test, I was doing really good finding the quail for dad (though I had never really had any training), and he praised me each time!
Well, that made me so happy, I decided I could do even better..... so I promptly sniffed out the motherload - the big box of quail that was off to the side to be placed out for the next lucky dogs. I figured I would really get praised for this, so could not understand why dad wanted me to leave them alone. he kept calling and whistling for me, but I was not going to give up those birds NO WAY!

So, finally mom had to come and try and get me away from the box. Which would have been fine, except the recent heavy rains had turned parts of the field to knee deep mud. And this was one of those parts. And mom was only wearing calf high Bean boots..... one of which got sucked off her foot by the mud! Needless to say, by the time she convinced me to return to dad, she was fairly COVERED in mud. So was I , but mom seemed to mind it just a little more than me, judging by what she kept muttering under her breath.
All ended well though, mom and dad bought knee-high mud boots that night, and I went on to get two orange ribbons that weekend!!
There is a photo of me at the test on my page, with an English and an Irish that were there... (psss they didn't get any ribbons though!)
