Every weekend I go hiking with my family. It is great! We hop in the car, drive to some new, beautiful place and explore. We swim, climb, run and have an all together great time but twice this month we have left our destination with mommy threatening to tie me to the roof of the car for the ride home. Twice I have come across fresh piles of poop, the first pile canine and the second pile bovine and I could not resist taking the plunge! I could not help rubbing my face, neck and shoulders in the excrement making sure my tags and collar were coated thoroughly. (That way mom could get it all over her fingers when she took my leash off.) She was NOT happy! I thought I saw water coming from her eyes. What's the big deal? Mommy put a picture of me after my latest escapade on my dogster page and got many funny stories from other dogster doggies that many of you like to do the same thing. This forum is for you...and your human mommies and daddies to share your stories, and know that you are not alone! My name is Tehya....and I am a poop roller. (sigh)

My name is Stormie, and I am also a poop-roller. It's an addiction! The hooMom knew early on that she was in for a poo-filled life shortly after she brought me home. Let me explain - I was a year old when she got me. I had just been retired from the show world after I won my championship title. For some reason the hooMom thought this meant I had manners and was something of a gentleman - HAAAAAAAA! She learned quickly that that was SO not the case! On my first hike in the woods I found a fresh, steaming pile of deer poo and rolled and rolled and rolled! It smooshed in my fur, my shiny new collar, my new leash - everything! Oh it absolutely heavenly!!! cloud 9 When the hooMom saw me, she was amazed that one dog could be that poo covered. She was kind of amused at first - until the ride home when I sat in her lap the whole way. She nearly gagged several times and for some reason we rode with the car windows all down in the middle of December! Ha! I'm so glad I'm not alone in my addiction! Thanks for the invite to such a prestigious poopy group!

Oh my...ok...here goes...My name is Thor and I love anything smelly. I'll roll in it, eat it, bring it to my humans, play with it....if it smells, I love it! Goose poopy is my personal choice, tasty, crunchy and easy to scoop up before mom notices. When she yells "drop it, argghhhh!!!! bad dog!!!" I drop it and roll over it and run away...this way I get to keep my treat on me longer and share it with others. I hate baths so maybe I need help...there's no way to keep my addiction and avoid the bathtub. Once I came in and covered Loki with poo too by playing with him....Lok doesn't mind a good smell, but he doesn't relish it the way I do.....
Maya, well she's a rescue and who knows what they fed her...not much I suppose cause she was full of worms and underweight when we got her....so she loves to scavange...anything..trash is her favorite! Got to keep that lid down on the toilet! All three of us love a good cold drink! No kisses for the humans after that....

Personally, cat poo is my favourite disgusting thing to eat - although I love to roll in a rotting kangeroo carcass - there's nothing like the stink of flyblown dead roo. Ususally, I just rub my shoulder in the stinking mass but sometimes, I luck out and crawl right inside the carcass and rub my entire body with sludge. OhMyGod do I stink!!

I am a HUGE poop roller AND a poop eater. Mom hates it and wants to know if anyone has suggestions on how to make it so I stop doing that....she's so grossed out, but I think it's just DIVINE!

My Mom is laughing and laughing.

But right now I am outside sending in my thoughts to you. She looked at my gunk covered legs and said, "Oh Zakkie" in just that tone that meant shower so I am hiding outside. Yes, I know I have to come in eventually.shock

I, myself, love a good roll in deer carcase. Mom will be watching TV or reading a book and suddenly that delightful scent of me will go wafting over to her. She turns green then drags me to the shower. Imagine! The indignity of it all!red face
