OK, we can’t hide it any longer, our new recipe Thrive, is ready to be unleashed! We’re jolly excited about this new creation, as are the lucky hounds who’ve been involved in the preliminary taste tests. The recipe is -

Dehydrated USDA Chicken, Quinoa, Sweet Potatoes, Spinach, Parsley, Kelp, Rosemary, Vitamins & Minerals.

Our Quinoa is fair trade, sustainably grown and 100% certified organic. Naturally gluten-free, Quinoa is a complete protein source and contains every single amino acid. It has a remarkably low incidence of intolerance even in grain-sensitive dogs and its robust, earthy flavor is absolutely delicious! Even my fussy toddler, Thalia, loves it. And that’s saying something.

So, we’ll be making several thousand travel size packets of Thrive in our March production run. If you haven’t done so already, may I suggest signing up for the taste test by emailing taste@thehonestkitchen.com. Please don’t forget to include your address so we can send you the sample and a brief questionnaire to provide us with some honest feedback. If your dog loves it as much as ours, we’ll be ready to go to market with Thrive in the spring!

We have a couple of other exciting new products in the works, too as part of the expansion of our treat line.

Nuzzles are a variation on our Smooches hand-baked cookies, with a mouth-watering combination of duck and cherry for a rich, irresistable flavor. We plan to release these in April.

Summer will see the launch of our long-awaited Ice Pups - a unique, snowy snack for outward bound & social hounds. Simply add warm water, freeze in an ice-cube tray, and serve. Ice Pups make a refreshingly cool and different treat for sunny days, puppy parties and post-hike hydration. Look for Ice Pups this summer online, or at a cool pet store near you.
