 | | | | I used to be a professional cattle herder in the Tri-Valley but then I got hurt by a steer and now I work as a SD - much better
The SD work is very different from the herding, but at least as challenging and fun. When I see cows now, I usually look into the other direction and walk right by.
Last year we run into a situation where somebody needed us to get his cow back. It broke out of the paddock. Mom offered her help. The cowboy got injured by the cow - it squeezed him into the gate really hard - stupid cows, telling you.. We followed the cowboy's lead/commands and I have to say, we did some pretty cool moves and brought the cow back safely. Mom was pretty impressed and told me later we looked like monsters. Our faces were so different and serious. The cowboy was really happy and we got some good chewy Jerky! Jojo did well, she learned on the spot - but nobody can beat me
Glad I am retired, though..
Love, and take good care of yourself, Jolanda | | | | |
