Thought I'd start a discussion about our Puggles: Do you see more Beagle or Pug traits in your Puggle?

Mine looks more Pug, but acts more Beagle. He is an active sniffer, constantly sniffing along when outside or scouting out the house. When he runs, his ears getting flying like a Beagle. His head and snout though are more stout like a Pug, than domed like a Beagle.

I'd like to read more of the traits of Beagles and how to keep their minds entertained. Between both of the Pug and Beagles these Puggles are smart dogs!

Scooter has the long snout and long ears of the beagle, but has the wrinkles in her face of the pug. Sniff? Oh yeah! It takes her FOREVER to find a potty place even tho she goes to the same spot every time. She also has the howl down that I understand is a beagle trait.

My Jimmy is 50/50 I think. way to go He does the howling of the beagle when he hears a firetruck. It's so cute though. He has the curly tail and some wrinkles on the forehead like the pug. I think that Puggles are the cutest, most loving, loyal dogs. Our family just loves our little Jimmy. snoopy

Kaiden is probably 90% of the beagle side. He has the longer nose, longer body, ears, and NOSE of the beagle. His nose is to the ground most of the time. He rarely looks up when he's walking. And finding a potty spot!? Forget about it. This is an adventure in and of itself! The one trait he has of the pug is the wrinkles in his "forehead". His eyes are even beagle-shaped. puppy

Annie is black and has a few wrinkles and a curly tail. That's about all that she is Pug. She's very smart and obedient though. She is so active and a real sniffer like a beagle. I love her because she'll play and cuddle. Puggles are the most perfect dogs ever!
