I haven't had a dog since I was a kid but I've yearned for one, my ENTIRE adult life...

So, while I waited for my dream to come true, I thought up pages & PAGES of names for my future dog (that's IF I ever GOT one...)

I had names picked out for males & females; little dogs & big dogs; cutesy names & tuff dog names...

September 2005: My dream finally came true in the form of an 8-week old, male Maltese puppy. So after narrowing down that long list of names, I finally decided on the name: BAM-BAM. (It's from "The Flintstones", a cartoon from my childhood). It's short & snappy, and not too common. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it.

I LOVE his name, but my BAM-BAM could care less! Because when I call him, he only comes when & IF he feels like it (or, unless there's a treat in it for him!)

All that work picking out a dog name for nothing! Oh well...

SO TELL ME: HOW DID YOU SETTLE ON YOUR DOG's NAME?
Chase

Chase loves to- be chased

I wasn's suppose to bring home a puppy that day when my mom and I went shopping. We already had a 10 year old Lhasa. But I couldn't help myself. When we walked in, the Phillies were on TV. I told my husband I had a surprise, and that it looked like a baseball. We showed him my little white ball of fur, and just then, Chase Utley hit a grand slam. that was the end of it. My husband named him. I figured Chase worked for both of us. He is registered as "Sir Utley of Northridge", and we call him Chase

I just knew that I would get a male Maltese. My names were Hudson and Bailey. I met someone named Hudson and that name lost it's juice and Bailey seemed too popular which left me undecided.

When I went to meet the breeder she brought out the male who was cute but pretty barky. I met his sister and feel in love. I knew she would be my new baby.

I picked Holly because it is upbeat and cheerful. My favorite time of year is December. I love the holidays. So I named her Holly Day. When I looked up up the the origin of Holly it simply said that the holly is a berry thus the origin of Holly Day Berry smile
