Wow...mom's seen pictures of cockers doing EVERYTHING, from competitive obedience to agility to tracking to hunting....

My activities involves going for runs with mom, competitive chewing, the snugglelympics, and being the best good puppy I can be.

Do any of you do cool stuff with your cockers? How did you get involved?

Oooh ooh ooh, a posting! YIPPEE...Let's see mom and I like to go for walks around the neighborhood with my friend Tinker and his mom, Wendy. I enjoy going across the street to the 'park' and playing fetch with my tennis ball, I'm drooling just thinking about it. I like swimming at Brushy Creek Lake. I LOVE being in the car with mom, we either go to Lake Travis or to my grandparent's house. I l ike playing tog-of-war with any toy, even my tennis ball. I like chasing birds and squirrels out of my backyard. I like sitting on the couch next to momma, upside down with my head hanging off the sofa. I LOVE snuggling, I'm the BEST at snuggling. Oh and I don't love sharing. Oh and I LOVE eating!!!

I hope we get some more posts.

Well, I seem to have gotten(or earned) the reputation of the neighborhood crazy lady. I take the dogs to the athletic field-when it's not in use, and I try to ignore the trash that ppl throw around, but I always end up picking it up. Ppl think it's funny to watch me juggle 2 dogs and a bag of trash. The dogs seem to be amused by this. When the weather is good, hubby and I take the girls out in the boat, they love it! Did you know they sell personal floatation vests for dogs? they look silly, but they have so much fun. We also take them out for ice cream, as a special treat. When we have the $$, we take them to Cape Cod, they love the beach, and I can always find a pet friendly cottage. My Dad lives in Florida, and we've talked about renting an RV and driving with the dogs to see him next winter. They also enjoy going on play dates to see their friend Gus, He has a big fenced in yard and a lake for swimming down the street. Gus comes over to visit us as well, he likes to get out and about too.

BOL @ trash control! We have to do it too, but for another reason--Gretta thinks EVERYTHING is food. I have to have cookies on me at all times to "trade" for whatever hot commodity she picks up, whether it's a McDonalds cup or a cigarette butt.

I wish I could get Gretta interested in the tennis ball. She only likes the squeaky one, though--she loves to make noise! I think it's her form of communication...when she wants a cookie or something from the counter she'll run and get a noisy toy, then come sit, look pitifully at me, and squeak.

Silly little dogs....

Does she ever get chewing gum from the ground? It sticks to the fur when they poop it out. I hate it when that happens.

Knock on wood, that hasn't happened yet. YUCK!!!

No, it's mostly fishing bait around our place (we live on a lake that's very popular for fishing). People leave ziploc bags and butter containers full of disgusting dirty crawly things that she feels the need to devour. My eternal fear is that someone will leave a hook lying around, but (pounding on wood now) for the most part it's just been bait!

OMD! that's awful. I don't blame you for worring about fish hooks, I would too. Last Saturday, I came home from work, as I was sying hello to the dogs, I petted Pheobe...she had dried up earthworms smeared into her fur. Pheobe loves to roll in things, when theres nothing to roll in, she will dig up worms to roll in. Needless to say, I spent my Saturday afternoon scubbing worm guts out of Pomeranian fur.

Our activities include camping, fishing, flat-rocking, firewood cutting, rockhounding, mushroom picking -- just about anything that's outdoorsy. If the weather is bad, and Mom doesn't feel like venturing outdoors, we snuggle on the couch and watch her clean house -- HOW EXCITING IS THAT?!?!? Or, we also help her with all the foster cockers. She takes us as her co-pilots when transporting, and we also get to be the Welcoming Committee.

My best friend just takes me for walks, we play frisbee... though I refuse to give back the disc... ha ha, she makes me go on a homemade agility course in the summer and I did go to a 4-H dog contest once... I didn't win a place and I did better then all the other dogs. Riley won even though he peed on the judge! I won't go to another one because the judge called me fat. confused
