Hi everyone!
First of all, Lucy and I would like to thank you for inviting us to join this group! I love seeing other "au natural" min pins smile
Now, I have a problem. I just moved to NYC and have received complaints about Lucy barking during the day when I'm at work. We lived in a house before so her barking was never a problem. Now, I live in an apartment building and have to leave her while I'm at work. I can't afford daycare so have to leave her here. She doesn't cry or bark when I leave, so I was completely unaware that she barked at all while I was gone. I'm really afraid of getting kicked out of our place and could never give her up. I'm desperate for advice. I would appreciate any at all!

I just want to add that I leave her with plenty to chew, her favorite bed and blanket to sleep in, etc, so I know that is not the issue.

Hm, maybe she's barking because she hears all those people walking around upstairs/downstairs? When I first brought Gustav to my apartment (we used to live in a house too), he barked a lot as well. I think he just eventually got used to all the people sounds though, and he settled down. How long have you guys been in the apartment? Maybe all she needs is time =)

Thanks for your response...we have been in the apartment almost 3 months. I bought a bark collar and that has completely eliminated her barking! I am amazed at how quickly and well it works. She does not make a peep when it is on. The collar I bought is one that makes a high pitched noise when she barks. I have it on the lowest setting and t really works so I highly recommend it for anyone else who has barking problems.
