 | |  | | On Tuesday, September 19, 2006, I crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.
Note from Mommy: Sasha wasn't feeling well in the morning and was taken to his vet around lunch time. He had stopped breathing and was put on oxygen and an IV. An ultrasound showed a large mass around his spleen; it was too large to view. Films were then taken which showed the extent of the mass. My husband and I decided that age (almost) 13, it was too risky and there was no guarantee that he would survive the operation. He gently crossed the Rainbow Bridge around 3:00 p.m. He is now with his sister, Bear, a Chow mix who crossed over on September 2, 2004.
Even though we know that he is no longer suffering the pains of arthritis, ear infections, and just plain old age, we are devastated. Our house is no longer a home because there are no dogs left. We need some time to grieve our loss, but would like to stay connected to Sam I Am, because you all are like a big Sammy blanket of love and hugs, which we need right now.
