	I have been with my new Mom for 1 yr now. Almost to the day, I have decided that I trust this is my new forever home. I let my Mom know this by, finally ,initiating snuggling with her and going close to her and nuzzling my head under her elbow and putting my head close to her. She has been hugging and petting me almost since I arrived but, for some reason ,I held back. I was always happy to see her, wagged my tail, and have tried to be very obedient girl and made friends with the cats and birds. I think when I saw that big chopped chicken liver birthday cake and I got to eat it all by myself that I knew that this was going to be my forever family and I was never going to be on my own again! When did you decide to trust your new family?

	Hi-This is Annie's mom. For the past month, Annie has started barking when someone we don't know comes to the door or a strange car pulls in the driveway. After 1 yr, she has just started doing this. A friend came by the other day while I was out and told me Annie barked at her, too! Have you had similar experiences?

	My annie was really mellow until she decided that she owned me and now she protects me from everyone. She is so sweet and not at all vicious, but all bark!!

	Annies, Did you come to your forever home with any baggage? I was sooo sick but Animal Control picked me up as a stray and didn't want to groom me so they sent me right to Death Row. They didn't even know I was a female-they thought I was a male! But Mom knew the difference! After I got on meds and was feeling a little better, I had to be rehousebroke at night-just like a puppy again. Which I sorta was because I was only about 1 yr old and the vet thought I had been on my own for 4-5 months......But I have excellent manners in all things now!

	When my mommy bought me from the bum, I had fleas, mites and worms.. the normal for a street puppy I guess.. Now I just have a fat belly from eating too much! (food and other things that we wont mention) My favorite trick is going up to strangers and laying on my back right across thier shoe so they scratch my belly. Of course I'm not protective out in the public, only behind my fence.

	I am most definitely Mom's dog now! I absolutely refused to go out on the wet grass today until an hour ago (2PM)when Mom tricked me by putting my leash on and dragging me out the back door when it stopped raining. It is a wet Xmas here so I'm going back to sleep now. I'm still full from all the goodies I got last night and haven't made it to the kitchen yet today to check things out or have my kibble. Sure beats last year when I was at the vet's getting "fixed" and chipped while Mom was up north visiting Baby Eve. It is good to be inside with nice music and smells and my mom for this holiday.
