My Yorkie/Poo came to us a little over two years ago from a home where he wasn't happy. I don't think he was abused but maybe neglected. Anyway, he instantly bonded with our then, four year old grandson. Didn't want anyone but him. Now, he has become mainly mine and he growls and barks and lungs at my grandson when he comes near. If I'm not near the dog he's fine with my grandson. What do I do to make him love Christian again?

Well, you might want to show your dog that you love your grandson, and that he won't do anything to hurt you. This might ease his feelings and let him understand that you are ok and do not need to be protected from you grandson. I hope I helped. If it didn't tell me and I will think of another way to help.

I do try and show Teddy that I love Christian. That seems to make him madder. When I'm not near Christian he likes him fine. Only if I'm near him he doesn't want Christian. He wants me all to himself. I've tried to train him. I give him a tiny little swat and say no no but it doesn't help because he's only 4 and 1/2 poinds and I would never do anything to hurt him so he doesn't take me serious. I'm stymied.

It seems like u have a great dog who juts doesnt get along w/ young kids. Well 4 now 4 the saftey of your grandson I would keep the pup away from him. Also here is a way 2 hopefully make it easier 4 the 2 2 get along. When ever ur grandson is in the room give him a treat. If he starts barking then juts ignore him and dont give him anything. This owrked 4 me and it teaches them that good things come when in ur case ur grandson is in the room good luck! smile
